St. Louis & St. Francis Haiti Ministry

A partnership with St. John the Evangelist School | Gonaives, Haiti

HISTORY

A Friendship Forged

In 1997, St. Louis entered into a pastoral relationship with St. John the Evangelist School in Gonaives, Haiti. St. Francis of Assisi - Fulton joined this mission in 2021. Monsignor Joseph Luca envisioned this partnership as one that would enrich the lives of Haitians living in the community of St. John the Evangelist and pastorate parishioners alike. This partnership which seeks to foster spiritual, cultural, financial and personal goals has deepened and prospered over the past two decades.

The Haiti Ministry is comprised of dedicated parishioners who gather to discuss and implement new and ongoing initiatives focused on supporting the over 900 students and the teachers of St. John the Evangelist. We are truly grateful for the blessings this collaboration has brought and we continue to pray for success beyond what has already been achieved.

DONATE

Online giving ends November 14. Please consider giving in support of our sister parish, St. Jean L’Évangéliste School and Sewing Center in Haiti!

We’re halfway to our goal of providing teachers’ salaries and ensuring every student receives a hot meal each day. Your donation—no matter the size—helps provide food, education, medical care, and spiritual encouragement to those who need it most.

When you give online, you can select the date your donation is processed which enables you to have your gift to go through later in the year.

We are so deeply grateful for your faithful support of our ministry in Haiti. Your generosity has been a true blessing—bringing hope, healing, and tangible help to so many in need. Because of you, lives have been touched, communities strengthened, and God’s love made known in powerful ways.
